Writers write books. Plural. … If you are a writer, you are a writer. For life. It consumes a pretty big part of your identity. Writing books, like having kids, isn’t really a sideline. It’s not a list item. It’s a way of living.

Like Heather Sellers says, why would you want to write just ONE book? Do you start a cafe and open it for ONE day? Do you train years in sports to play ONE match? Do you go through years of medical school and perform ONE surgery? Writing is not a sideline list item, but a way of living, just like any sport, job, or hobby. Approach it like you’re training to be a world champion. Practice, then practice some more. Then enter that wrestling ring and write something. Again, and again, and again …
